Bio

Isack is a 1st generation immigrant originally from Venezuela where he spent the 1st half of his life. He immigrated to Houston where he spent the 2nd half of his formative years. He graduated from Stratford High School in 1999, where he played football as a defensive tackle and linebacker.

He was accepted to Texas Tech University in 1999 where he earned a Bachelors of Business in Economics and Finance. During his tenure at Texas Tech and shortly after September 11, 2001, he took a hiatus from his studies to enlist in the United States Army Reserves. 

Upon graduating from Tech, he was mobilized in support of the war and spent a year serving in the Judge Advocate General Office at Fort Polk Louisiana. While serving in the Army, Isack took the Naturalization Oath of Allegiance to the United States of America and became a proud citizen of our great country.

After his tour of service, he returned to Houston where he joined Derwen Resources, LLC, a small independent energy startup, as a landman. During these early he worked in projects throughout central and east Texas, more particularly the Haynesville Play.

In 2007 Isack joined Strand Energy, LLC in their land department where he worked in various plays throughout Texas (Permian & Eagle ), Louisiana and Oklahoma(Mississippian).

In 2008 he began working towards his MBA at of Houston-Victoria, which he completed in 2012.

In 2011 he joined Plains Exploration and Production (PXP) Rockies business unit where he worked on various projects in Wyoming (Madden Field), Utah (Uintah Basin), Florida, Illinois and Nevada (Chainman Shale).

In 2013 PXP merged into Freeport McMoRan Oil and Gas and Isack transferred into the Exploration business unit where he worked various projects in the Gulf of Mexico and helped in evaluation several international opportunities.

In 2016 Isack began a consulting firm with varied colleagues where he several projects throughout Texas, Ohio, and Montana. One such project was aiding Oasis Petroleum integrate their SM Energy acquisition.

Isack has been married for 10 years and has four boys, ages 9, 6, 4, and a newborn. When not at the office, he spends his time with his family and is heavily engaged as a Leader for the Cub Scouts.
