Ron had the responsibility for oversight of Chevron’s North America Exploration and Production Company (CNAEP) business unit (BU) Land divisions, being the Canadian BU (Calgary), Gulf of Mexico BU (Houston, TX & Covington, LA), Appalachian Mountain BU (Coraopolis, PA), Mid-Continent BU (Houston & Midland, TX), San Joaquin Valley BU (Bakersfield, CA) Land Ownership & Systems (Houston) and Land Organizational Capability (Houston) since July of 2016. Prior to this position, Ron was the Land Manager for the Appalachian Mountain BU in Coraopolis, PA and previous to this was the Land Manager for the San Joaquin Valley Business Unit in Bakersfield, California.
Ron has 40 years of experience in the energy industry starting his career in 1981 with Getty Oil Company in the Permian Basin, Midland, Texas. Ron has held various positions serving a diverse background in exploration, production, operations, fee property management, Total Quality Management, business process improvement, Quality consultant & facilitator, resource development, organization transition, recruiting and portfolio enhancement for areas covering New Mexico, Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida, state waters of the Gulf Coast, Gulf of Mexico Outer Continental Shelf, California and Appalachia.
Ron earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Petroleum Land Management from the University of Texas at Austin in 1981 and maintains his certification as a Certified Professional Landman & Environmental Site Assessor with the American Association of Professional Landmen.
Ron and his wife, Jan, have one son, Quentin Charles.
