Biography
Joseph C. Icenogle, CPL
Joe is the Land Manager with Wave Petroleum Operating in Denver. Wave’s main focus is its assets in Wyoming. Prior to joining Wave in July 2014, Joe was Surface Land Manager with Apache Corporation in Tulsa. Previously, he was the Director of Environmental Affairs for Fidelity Exploration & Production Company in Denver. As director of Fidelity’s environmental affairs team, Joe supervised the company’s environmental permitting and compliance functions, coordinated the management of governmental, public and media affairs issues. Joe joined Fidelity in October 2001 after completing nearly 19 years of service with Marathon Oil Company working in positions of increasing responsibility in land management, environmental and regulatory affairs.
Joe was raised in Casper, Wyoming and graduated from the University of Texas at Austin, in 1981 with a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree majoring in Petroleum Land Management. Joe started as a field Landman with an Oklahoma City Independent. In December 1982 he began his career with Marathon Oil Company in Casper, Wyoming.
