    Newly established Maxima Minerals, LLP, a division of Faulconer Energy, LLC, has a unique opportunity for a Mineral/Royalty Portfolio Manager. This key position performs a vital role in the identification, negotiation, acquisition and divestiture of Oil & Gas minerals and royalty interests for Maxima Minerals. This role requires a diverse knowledge of the Oil and Gas industry to include Lease Records, Title Analysis, Economic Analysis, Marketing and State and Federal Regulatory requirements pertinent to the entire life cycle of understanding, identifying, acquiring and managing mineral and royalty interests. Individual must be detail and business results oriented, with demonstrated ability to make good economic decisions and work effectively with diverse groups of people, as well as on their own. Position reports directly to Company Vice President of Acquisitions and Business Development.


    • Responsible for coordinating full cycle mineral acquisition process to includes sourcing interest/deals to the closing transaction.
    • Researches ownership, lease and title information for targeted mineral and royalty investments.
    • Acts as a company representative in acquisition/divestiture of mineral/royalty interests.
    • First point of contact with mineral owners to assess mineral and royalty interest acquisitions.           
    • Prepare, review and negotiate purchase agreements with interest owners.
    • Provides industry expertise and guidance in pricing on mineral and royalty interest acquisition/divestiture.
    • Develops and maintains O&G mineral owner database.
    • Provides support and assistance to Land Department in mineral interest ownership title chain process.
    • Works directly with Senior Management Team in mineral/royalty interest evaluation and decision-making process.
    • Provide support to business development and Senior Management Team in developing long-term mineral interest goals.
    • Prepares, presents and maintains mineral interest and royalty investment reports as required.
    • Interact with Industry Royalty/Mineral Owner meetings and Associations as a company representative to stay abreast of current trends and build relationships.


    Required Qualifications:

    • Previous experience buying mineral and royalty interest in Oil & Gas Industry.
    • 5+ plus years Land experience in preparation and negotiating contracts and oil and gas acquisitions.
    • Bachelor's degree in Land Management or relevant field preferred.
    • Knowledge of Oil and Gas Title Analysis and State and Federal Regulatory requirements pertinent to mineral and royalty acquisitions functions.
    • Ability to analyze, compile and maintain confidentiality of sensitive and complex data.
    • Strong negotiation and communication skills inclusive of both written and oral proficiency.
    • Ability to establish rapport and build a business relationship with diverse group of mineral owners.
    • Well-developed research skills with attention to detail.Track record of competitively negotiating and closing transactions.
    • Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment combined with proven track record of making good business/economic decisions.
    • Proficient in utilization of Microsoft Office and O&G data sources (i.e. Enverus).
    • Self-motivated with ability to work independently.
    • Strong organization and planning skills.
