    ​Vernon E. Faulconer Inc., a growing Independent Oil & Gas company with over 40 years in the business, has an opportunity for an experienced Sr. Lease and Title Analyst in our Land Department in Tyler, TX. The Sr. Lease and Title Analyst performs a key role in analyzing all leases, assignments and other documents related to the Land Department.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Advanced ability to analyze complex leases and input related information into in-house Land system.
    • Manage monthly obligation and payment calendars.
    • Support Acquisition due diligence and/or Divestiture process as needed.
    • Research title and ownership reports to verify ownership interests.
    • Analyze, summarize and verify oil and gas ownership interest.
    • Research incoming regulatory items for assigned states.
    • Prepare Exhibits for Assignments when requested.
    • Provide support filing and scanning as needed.
    • Set up, maintain and research Land files as required.
    • Provide lead technical support with completion of all phases of work within the Land Department and perform any additional duties that may be assigned.
    • Acts as key internal resource for other Lease Analysts
    • May be the company point person with complicated lease assessments.
    • Reports directly to the Land Records Manager.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Ten (10) plus+ years Land administrative experience in maintaining oil and gas lease records and title research preferred, but not required.
    • Business related bachelor's degree preferred, but not required.
    • Advanced knowledge and experience of oil, gas and mineral leases and land related functions.  
    • Strong attention to detail and the ability to compile and analyze data.
    • Strong computer and software skills including MS Word and Excel.
    • Ability to multitask and prioritize projects.
    • Good organization skills and excellent oral and written communication skills.
    • Ability to extend a high level of professionalism.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate sound judgment in performance of job responsibilities.
    • Must demonstrate the ability to work with limited supervision, but have the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
