Proposed Carbon Capture Projects Run The Gamut From All-Natural To Heavy Industrial (forbes.com)New carbon solution in Alberta delivers use for industrial emissions – Wolf Midstream
Coal will be nearly dead in 20 years. Natural gas is gaining market share, and on to facing the next pressure of experimenting with how to integrate hydrogen. Much carbon emission sources will continue to be used despite the fantasies of the eco-maniacal.
FERC recently removed some barriers to states imposing carbon pricing. For more than a few companies, monetizing carbon capture will be a viable niche in their energy future. Much remains unknown and to be determined by regulatory, legislative, and market pressures. In addition to these pressures, industry is subject to the force of the public's expectation for energy progress.
Many questions face the conventional energy industry. Will industry shape the market enough to maximize "emissions reductions" achievable through CCUS? What role do land professionals have in public discourse on this aspect of the next phase in energy?
