With Texas "Re-opening" you think  most county clerks would re-open too. Not so in many counties, WE CAN"T EVEN GO INSIDE!!!  and two counties i talked to in person today said they may not even open throughout MAY!

How do we get projects done when you need to index records that are not online?

Some of us still lucky enough to be working won't be WITHOUT ACCESS to PUBLIC RECORDS!

How can we  get county clerks to open? I called the County Judge and he said its was the clerks discretion to open or not...

We can maintain social distance, wears gloves and mask if they want us to, but some still won't re-open.

Here in Clay County, Missouri, (Kansas City area), we are working from home mostly  We have teams of two go in to the office every 3rd day. There's six of us. So, although we are not open to the public, you can call or email us & we will get you your docs.  Maybe you can get those crucial counties to work a skeleton crew like we are. With only two ladies in office per day it is extremely busy but we have still been able to help out with doc requests. No, we aren't pulling full chains of title but if you KNOW what docs you need we do our best.
